Description

One of the best sounding amps in existence. A true sleeper! Up for sale is a 1958 Gibson GA-40 Les Paul two-tone tweed amplifier. 18 watts, 6V6 based, with tremolo. A true Fender Tweed sound at a price that won’t break the bank. Original transformers all date to 1958. Tremolo is kind of weak, probably needs a new tube. Speaker replaced with a 15 inch Eminence that sounds incredible. “Custom-made” Altoids tin footswitch hardwired for tremolo, and filter-caps replaced. Sounds amazing with unmistakable breakup and tone.
