Up for sale is a super cool first year 1958 Fender Jazzmaster in sunburst. This instrument has been refinished / lightly aged by Joe Riggio of Riggio guitars and we think it looks absolutely amazing (body and neck). This one also has a pro refret and new nut. The finish on the face of the headstock and decal are both original. A true '58 through and through with 11/58 body and neck dates, pots dating to 41st week of 1956 and the 43rd of 1958. Original body routes, original hardware, original plastic and mostly original wiring. The original anodized guard has "mell" written pencil on the underside as well as original tape holding the wiring in place. Both the neck and bridge pickups have been rewound, the neck being an original black bobbin and the bridge being a slightly later (63 / 64) grey bottom. At the price point of what a decked out new Fender Masterbuilt Jazzmaster could cost why not get the real thing? And a first year example!
Weight: 7lbs. 13oz.
Pro setup in house and comes complete with its worn but original tweed hard case (one broken latch).
NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:
We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings. Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so. We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument. Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.
We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear. If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us at the Shop for a complete in-hand description and to answer any questions you may have. Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
