Up for sale is a killer 1966 Fender Electric XII 12 String in its original sunburst finish. The Electric XII is one of my personal favorite electric 12 strings from this era and although it doesn't do the Ric jangle thing it does have a voice all its own and is remarkably comfortable to play. Neck is stamped 12APR66B, original grey bottom pickups are dated 7-18-66 and the tone pot is coded 3046630 dating to the 30th week of 1966. The volume pot has been replaced and there is a sticker from a music store we presume this one sold out of at some point on the back of the headstock. The body is marked ES which is rumored to stand for entered special and may have been used for a trade show. We've seen tons of Fender guitars over the years with this stamp and always wondered what it actually means. Perhaps you know? Wonderful and fun Electric XII.
Weight: 9lbs. 4oz.
Pro Setup in house and ships with its original soft shell case
NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:
We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings. Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so. We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument. Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.
We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear. If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us at the Shop for a complete in-hand description and to answer any questions you may have. Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
