Description

Freshly inspected and set up in-house by our esteemed Guitar Tech.  In Excellent condition with minimal wear for an instrument of this age, including faint scratches and other minor signs of careful handling and use.  This instrument is quite clean for a 14 year old guitar.  A really nice example of an American Standard Strat in the penultimate year of this classic model's run.  See below for more details and specifications.

FROM FENDER:

Today’s new American Standard Stratocaster guitars are worthy heirs of their revered ancestors—mindful of player needs and taking full advantage of modern advances, yet remaining completely true to the elements and spirit that made these instruments legendary in the first place.

ABOUT NO-LOAD TONE CONTROL:

From positions 1–9, the No-Load Tone Control functions as a regular tone control, allowing for standard tone shaping.  When turned to 10, however, the pot disengages and removes itself from the signal path, eliminating the path to ground and preventing any tonal roll-off, which lets the unaltered sound of the pickup come through for maximum clarity and brightness.  Valued by players who want the option to bypass the tone circuit for a "wide open" sound without rewiring the guitar.

NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:

We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings.  Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so.  We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument.  Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.

We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear.  If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us for a complete in-hand description and to answer any questions you may have.  Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
