Description

Up for sale is a super cool and very early 1942 Gibson LG-2 in its original sunburst finish. Being this is one of the earliest LG-2s this example features a Firestripe pickguard, 7 ply rosette binding, 5 ply top binding and 3 ply back binding, no truss rod and a massive neck profile. This example is in great shape and sounds absolutely wonderful. There is a larger crack repair on the treble side of the body as well as some odd finish damage. The crack has been cleated and is solid. Other upgrades include: Pro neck set by Joel Whitehead. New frets, what appears as a new bridge / saddle, crack. The bridge size is correct but it's just too clean. Pro setup in house and comes complete with a period correct hard case. Weight: 3lbs. 7oz.
