Up for sale is a clean and exceptional 1960s Silvertone 1457 guitar with Amp in Case. In the 60s Silvertone offered a few different guitar with an amp built in the case kits, most notably the 1448 and the 1457. Although the 1448 is very cool in it’s own right, the 1457 is just a notch above, offering a dual pickup full scale length guitar as well as a 5 watt amplifier with tremolo and an upgraded Jensen speaker. Here we have a fantastic example of this model. This 1960s Silvertone 1457 is overall in great condition and plays fantastic. Everything in this setup works as it should with no issues less a minor scratchy pot in the amp. The guitar is set up well and the pickups are warm and punchy while having some cool Tele style twang. The amp is nice and prominent with the original Jensen 8″ speaker and sweet tremolo. Very playable and usable all original 1457 and a cool piece of American vintage guitar history. Comes complete with its original footswitch and instrument cable.
NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:
We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage products as accurately as possible in our listings. Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so. We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument. Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.
We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear. If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us at the Shop for a complete in-hand description and to answer any questions you may have. Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
