ABOUT NICHOLAI SCHORR:
Nicolai Schorr is a Berlin-based luthier renowned for crafting innovative, hand-built electric and acoustic guitars under his Schorr Guitars brand. He operates from a small shop in Berlin-Neukölln, emphasizing handmade construction with minimal power tools.
Schorr studied fine art for seven years, focusing on figurative painting and drawing, which deeply influences his guitar designs through a sculptural, artistic lens. His work blends traditional methods with experimental ideas, like unique neck joints, sliding pickups, and custom single-coil pickups inspired by 1950s Berlin archtops.
Schorr typically uses locally sourced resonant tonewoods such as spruce or pine for tops and and maple for necks. Fingerboards and accents often come from bog oak, plum, walnut, black walnut, maple, or stained pear. Schorr crafts nearly all hardware himself to maintain creative authorship of the design for each instrument.

NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:
We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings. Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so. We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument. Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.
We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear. If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us to ask any questions you may have. Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
