This 1953 Epiphone Zephyr Emperor Regent is a special piece of guitar history that you definitely don't see every day. Featuring three New York pickups with a six-position pushbutton pickup selector, it was the most powerful competitor to Gibson's ES-5 prior to Gibson's acquisition of Epiphone. This particular instrument has received a few historically accurate replacement parts to keep it living up to its former glory, including a faithfully reproduced Frequensator tailpiece and pickguard. The original Frequensator tailpiece (with one missing half), pickguard, and heel cap (warped) are included in the case. The pickup selector has had all points thoroughly cleaned, but we recommend that the next owner of this guitar maintains intermittent cleaning to keep everything in good shape. This guitar was very beloved by its previous owner, who took it on a lifetime of musical adventures around the world. Now it's time for this one to find its next loving home, and we're happy to help it find its way to you!

NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:
We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings. Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so. We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument. Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.
We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear. If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us to ask any questions you may have. Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
