Description

Freshly inspected and set up in-house by our esteemed Guitar Tech.  In Excellent condition with modest wear for an instrument of this age, including light scratches and other minor signs of normal handling and use.

This is a very special guitar: one of only 50 made by the Fender Custom Shop.  The headstock face has a deeper cut above the nut to facilitate behind the nut bends, ala Jim Campilongo.  Beautiful playing and sounding Tele that weighs in at just over 7 pounds.  You can play this one all night long.  See below for more details and specifications.

ABOUT JIM CAMPILONGO:

Jim Campilongo is a highly respected American guitarist and composer, best known for his virtuosic, idiosyncratic playing on the Fender Telecaster and his mostly instrumental albums that blend country, Western swing, jazz, blues, and rock.  Called "an American treasure" by Billboard, Campilongo is described by The New Yorker as playing the Telecaster "as skillfully and exuberantly as it can be played."   Famous for his 1959 Fender Telecaster "top-loader" (strings go through the body's top), which he's played for over 25.

NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:

We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings.  Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so.  We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument.  Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.

We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear.  If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us to ask any questions you may have.  Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
