Description

Up for sale is a 2014 Ron Kirn Barnbuster HH in Cherry. This guitar is pretty jaw dropping and a lot of fun to play. This one has a stunning flame top and flame neck. If you're not familiar with Ron's builds they are something to be played and looked into. Cosmetically this one is very good with only a few very minor impressions in the finish and some light finish scratches. This one is incredibly resonant, has some great pro features like locking tuners, and it's something a little different. If you're into T style guitars or you are a little T curious I would recommend this one to you. Swing by and give it a spin. See build sheet in the photos for full specs.

Pro Setup in house and ships with a polyfoam case.

Weight: 7lbs. 11oz.

Key Features & Construction
  • The Body Wood: Like all Barnbusters, the body is sourced from centuries-old, reclaimed antique pine (often 100- to 200-year-old loblolly pine salvaged from historic 19th-century buildings). As the wood ages, internal sap hardens, which tightens the grain and yields unmatched resonant vibration and sustain.
  • Cherry HH Configuration: While the "Standard" Barnbuster defaults to a traditional single-coil Telecaster setup, the HH denotes two full-sized humbucking pickups, transforming the guitar into a thick, punchy, and high-output rock machine. The Cherry specifies a vibrant translucent red nitrocellulose finish over the deeply figured antique grain.
  • Ultra-Thin Nitro Finish: Ron Kirn uses an old-school, multi-coat genuine nitrocellulose lacquer process. He sprays multiple layers but wet-sands most of it back down, resulting in a finish that is thinner than modern factory poly-coatings, allowing the ancient timber to breathe and ring freely.

NOTE TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS:

We want you to be happy with your purchase and we try to represent the condition of all used and vintage guitars as accurately as possible in our listings. Every used guitar shows some signs of play wear and vintage models even more so. We call out all areas of damage or unusual wear, and describe the overall condition based upon what is "normal" for the age of the instrument. Expect to see minor dings, finish checking, or other evidence of normal use and aging which may not be captured by photography or explicitly mentioned in the listing.

We recognize that everyone has their own personal standard of what constitutes acceptable wear and tear. If play wear is especially critical for you, please contact us at the Shop for a complete in-hand description and to answer any questions you may have. Your satisfaction is of paramount importance to us.
